From the 30th of November to the 4th of December 2020 the Youth Learning Teachning Training Activity of our project Weare(e)able took place. 26 young people from the partner countries Austria, Lithuania, Poland and Italy came together online to exchange on the topic of “sustainable clothing” and expand their knowledge in this field.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness about the negative impact of the current fast fashion boom and specifically plastics in our clothes on the environment. The young people were motivated to reflect on their personal habits in fashion consumption, to develop alternatives to their current fashion consumption as well as to pass on this newly gained knowledge to peers.
The event started with getting to know each other and an introduction to the topic. On the following days, the participants worked alone and in groups on the created learning materials, exchanged ideas and gave feedback, got an insight into best-practice examples in the field of sustainable fashion and developed ideas for dissemination. On the last day an expert talk and a final discussion took place.
The project team can look back to a successful online event.
